Timeline

It usually takes 10-14 days to complete the formatting and cover design. You will receive .pdf copies of the final designs for approval, via email, prior to submitting to the printer. After your files are submitted to the printer, no more changes can be made. It usually takes 7-10 days to receive the finished book.

The Fine Print

Creativity is boundless with self-publishing; however, there are a few rules that must be followed to avoid problems later:

  1. All artwork must belong to you or be licensed for your use (I’ll need a copy of a license for any professional artwork or designs used in your book.
  2. Packages do not include creation of illustrations.
  3. Your manuscript must be your own work – no infringing on someone else’s copyright.
  4. Your manuscript must be available in MS Word (does not include retyping or scanning of older manuscripts) and you must have the knowledge to submit the document to me electronically or on CD by mail.
  5. Editing is not included. Before you submit your manuscript, please ensure that it’s error free.
  6. Packages do not include distribution; you are responsible for promoting your book to bookstores, libraries and other outlets.
  7. Packages do not include registration with U.S. Copyright Office.
  8. Once published, you will receive a link to directly purchase additional copies of your book at ‘cost’ for friends, family and/or local distribution.
